Your questions, our answers
Here you will find everything you need to know about Streamcheck - from how it works and its advantages over conventional methods to data security and how to use it. Discover how Streamcheck can help you to recognise urological changes at an early stage.

What is Streamcheck?
Streamcheck is a measuring device with an integrated sensor and an app. It is used to regularly monitor urine flow and other important urinary tract health parameters and was developed in Germany.
What distinguishes Streamcheck from conventional test strips?
Conventional strip tests are generally only used when symptoms are already present. With Streamcheck, important health parameters can be recognised conveniently and discreetly as part of early detection. Test strips alone provide information on whether biochemical values are elevated. A urine flow measurement, which provides further important information, is missing. Users then have to carry out the assessment of the self-test themselves - without receiving a recommendation on what to do.
Why is a uroflowmetry performed by a doctor not enough?
Uroflowmetry can often only be carried out by a doctor. However, doctors agree that the „one-off effect“ is less meaningful compared to several measurements in succession.
What are the advantages of Streamcheck compared to a conventional visit to the doctor?
Streamcheck helps you to regularly monitor your urinary tract health and recognise changes at an early stage.
Can I also do the test during an ongoing treatment?
Yes, the test can also be used during ongoing treatment to monitor progress and adjust treatment if necessary.
How does the test work?
It's simple: you use the measuring device when you urinate to measure the flow of urine. The sensor records the data and sends it to the app, which analyses and displays it. During this process, your urine is also analysed for important biomarkers. Once the measurement is complete, dispose of the disposable cup and the test is finished.
How often should I take the test?
It is recommended that the test is carried out regularly, ideally once a month. This allows you to quickly recognise changes in the health of the urinary tract and react in good time.
Who should use Streamcheck?
Everyone. Streamcheck is ideal for people who want to continuously monitor their urinary tract health, especially men over the age of 40 or people with urological conditions.
What data is collected and how secure is it?
The device records data such as urinary flow rate, bladder volume and frequency of urination. This data is stored securely in the app and is only accessible to you and your doctor.
What happens if my results are not normal?
If the results are abnormal, the app will tell you that you should seek medical advice.
Does the Streamcheck prevent prostate cancer?
The Streamcheck does not replace the early detection examination for prostate cancer. However, numerous diseases such as bladder emptying disorders, prostate enlargement with urine flow disorders, kidney diseases (protein in the urine etc.) or diseases of the bladder through to bladder cancer (blood in the urine etc.) can be detected by carrying out early tests and recognising patterns.
