Why should I know more about my uroflow?

Uroflowmetry is a medical procedure for measuring the speed and quantity of urine excreted when going to the toilet.
Uroflow curve
Why is this important? If your urine flows unusually slowly or not at all, this can be an indication of a narrowed urethra, an enlarged prostate or bladder emptying problems. Such problems can affect your quality of life in the long term and lead to more serious health problems if they are not recognised and treated.

Regular measurements can help to recognise changes in urine flow at an early stage.

Urine contains important medical information

Every visit to the toilet provides important information about your bladder and kidney health. To record this data, simply urinate in the specially developed Streamcheck cup - quickly, hygienically and easily.

Advanced technology for precise measurements

The Streamcheck device analyses your urine flow rate, urine volume and other relevant biomarkers using integrated sensors. This gives you precise values on your bladder function and possible health changes.

Intelligent analysis for reliable results

Streamcheck uses advanced algorithms to precisely analyse your measurements' trends and detect changes over time. Regular measurements from home provide you with sound long-term data - a new dimension of early detection that was previously only possible at the doctor's office. All results are securely stored in the app and comprehensibly presented.

Biomarkers explained simply

Biomarkers are measurable values in your body that provide information about your health. They help to recognise changes at an early stage - for example, indications of infections, metabolic disorders or other health problems. With Streamcheck, these values are recorded and analysed directly in your urine.

pH value

Shows how acidic or alkaline your urine is. A normal value fluctuates, but extremely acidic or alkaline urine can indicate problems such as infections.

Nitrite

Normally not present in urine. If they are, this indicates bacteria that could cause a urinary tract infection.

Leukocytes

White blood cells: These cells fight infections. If they are present in the urine, this could be a sign of inflammation in the bladder or kidneys.

Blood

Blood in the urine should not occur. It can be a sign of infections, stones, injuries or serious illnesses such as kidney or bladder cancer.

Glucose

Is not normally in the urine. If it is, it could be a sign of diabetes.

Protein

Protein: Should normally hardly be present in the urine. If it is detected, this may indicate kidney problems.
